As the name suggests the stairlift starts on the first step of the stairs and not the ground level like other stairlifts. Despite starting on the first step, the innovative design means that the lift is still low enough to get safely and easily on and off.
This unique option to specify where your rail will start and end makes the First Step Start unlike any other stairlift on the market. First Step Start takes away the need for hinges where there is a doorway or obstruction at the bottom of the stairs.
It’s a simple, tidy, and reliable solution to avoid an intrusive rail or expensive hinge at the foot of the stairs.
This top-of-the-range stairlift is like no other. The Platinum Ultimate is also the first to offer Forward-Facing Travel which is ideal for those who have difficulty bending their legs or experience vertigo.
Space Saving
The space saving ‘First Step Start’ is a unique and stylish option, which leaves your floor space and doorways completely free from obstruction. This is a great option for small hallways where it would not normally be possible to fit a stairlift.
It can also eliminate the need to remove or relocate obstructions such as fuse boxes and radiators that may be at the bottom of the stairs.
Its single rail is designed to take you smoothly and effortlessly, both up and down your stairs. The single rail is not only a contemporary, elegant choice but it also allows it to be fitted close to the wall giving plenty of space on the stairs when the lift is not in use. The rail construction also enables the lift to hug the tightest turns and bends making it capable of navigating even the narrowest or steepest staircases.
